Metro Manila, 25 Provinces Under State of Calamity

Due to the heavy and nonstop rainfall brought by tropical storm Ondoy, Metro Manila and 25 other provinces were placed under a state of calamity.

Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), reported that the heavy rainfall in Metro Manila and nearby areas in a span of six hours today was the highest in 42 years.
