Hello i have found one more which is not listed since it is new in the philippines

Apicius Culinary Arts Academy
http://apicius-culinary.com

a school setup by international experianced chefs from europe and with their courses created by european chefs
the school is small and offers classes of maximum 15 students and in this way they can really attend each student individual
as well the price level seems very reasonable in comparison with some others

To all of you looking for Culinary schools, it is not the physical appearance of the school or kitchen that make a great school, it is the instructors/chefs that count. Make sure that the instructor/chefs have experience in a Corporate or Executive level. This is the bottom line. There are culinary schools around that 'boasts' of having "European" Chefs - check out their backgrounds first before you enroll. Look at their background, Education and Professional experience. There are some that don't even know how to spell correctly...

GLOBAL CULINARY & HOSPITALITY ACADEMY is the only school who has yet to be BEATEN in competition & STREET CREDIT by all schools aforementioned (ISCAHM the only exception on Street Credit). GLOBAL is the only one with 3 bRANCHES and 2 restaurants (na highly acclaimed in blogosphere). shame on you for not putting my alma matter!!!

One good culinary school i know is the American Hospitality Academy Philippines. What differentiates this school from other culinary schools is that more than teaching the fundamentals it also trains the students to be disciplined which is necessary to succeed in the kitchen workplace.

If we are to measure how good a culinary school is in terms of how well it performed in competitions, please check out Magsaysay Institute of Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA). They won 11 awards in the recently concluded Food and Hotel Asia 2010 Culinary Competition held in Singapore.

I should know because I graduated there. I was even given the opportunity to work in Resorts World through their OJT program and now I am off to Canada!

Just sharing but please check them out. You will get your money's worth.

Hi there, among the culinary schools, I will be in ISCHAM this July for Culinary Program (1 year). I am so excited as I know this is a very good school, European curriculum and exec. chefs are Austrian, Swiss, Indian etc. But if anyone is looking for a cheaper one, I suggest one should also go to MICHA. Based on reviews alone, these 2 have very good backgrounds. Dont look much at facilities, but scrutinize first the chefs who would feed you information and good training, first priority. Anyway, hi anonymous, i'd like to ask advice, from which or where did you find job opening in Canada? I would love to work there as well in the future, as I would want to target European/French cuisine?

What do you think about the most experienced school? =D

Hi, why don't you try Institute of Culinary Arts and Food Service? Check out www.icf.com.ph for more details.

I think CCA, Manila is the best culinary school in the Philippines. They have a very comprehensive curriculum and award winning chef instructors. In fact, Chef Rosebud Benitez graduated from CCA, Manila. The tuition fee is worth it. See this.. http://www.cca-manila.com/international-degree-succession.html

The off to canada is most likely a work in a cruisehip where the meet point/boarding is in a canadian port. My brother used to work in a small unknown mami house in a restaurant in pasig and then worked in Chateau in ortigas for 4 months then took a 2 week cert basic and advance cooking in Maya kitchen, then worked in a cruisehip for 6 years in RCCL. Sad to say he liked US, so much he is now a TNT :( hay naku!

Also try out FGA First gourmet academy in QC. I am astudent here and love it. I will do my OJT in Australia in a couple of months. The instructors here will really take care of you and make sure you become a great chef.
